Located 192 kms from Aizawl at an elevation of 1678 mts, Champhai is also fast emerging as the fruit bowl of Mizoram. It is the capital of Champhai District which covers an area of 3185.83 sq.kms.

Ukhrul and Kamjong

The Land of the Tangkhuls made as a full fledged district in 1969. It lies 84 Km to the east of Imphal. The best time to visit Ukhrul is during summer because of its cool and pleasant summer. Winters in Ukhrul can be chilly even it snowed in the mountain range of Shirui Park. Ukhrul is surrounded by Myanmar on the east, Nagalang on the north, Chandel District on the south and Senapati district on the west. Its area is 4544 square Km and its population is 1.84 lakh as per census 2011. It is the home to Shirui Lily and Sirarakhong is famous for its chilli known as Sirarakhong hathei and it is a part of the Yu river basin.

Agartala is the capital city of Tripura, a northeast Indian state. The huge, white Ujjayanta Palace, built in 1901 by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya, has Mughal-style gardens with fountains. It houses the Tripura Government Museum, where displays include 9th-century sculptures. Nearby, ornate columns and pointed domes mark the Hindu temple Jagannath Bari. North, Rabindra Kanan park has flowerbeds and a puppet house.

Lunglei

These are two bungalows constructed in 1903 in Serkawn village now adjoining Lunglei by Rev. J.H. Lorrain, elder brother of Rev. R.A. Lorrain and Rev. F.W. Savidge, fondly nicknamed Pu Buanga and Sap Upa respectively, and are believed to be the oldest buildings in Mizoram. These two pioneer missionaries from Welsh first arrived in Mizo soil in 1894 and established a Presbyterian Church mission in Aizawl, giving priority to learning the local dialect, formulation of the Mizo alphabet in the Roman script, compilation of the Mizo-English dictionary and translation of the Bible and hymns. They returned home in 1897 but came back in 1902 to work under the Baptist Missionary Society in southern Mizoram where they established their base in Serkawn near Lunglei.

Nandikund is a lake dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed that Nandi Bull of the lord used to drink water from this lake. This kund has mythological relevance as it is believed that a corroded sword seen near the lake belongs to Pandavas. Nandikund is also popular as during summers, the water is found extremely cold. Besides, Madhyamaheshwar Ganga also originates from the kund and reflection of Chaukhamba peak in the lake can also be seen.

Trek starts from Sagar village which is approx 03 km from Gopeshwar. The other trek starts from Mandal which is 12 km from Gopeshwar. This trek goes through Anusuya devi temple. Trek is very hard with a distance of approx 24 km

Badrinath

Badrinath is the most sacred Dham of India. It is located at an elevation of 3,133mts above sea level in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. This Dham was established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 9th century. The deity of Badrinath temple is Lord Vishnu. The temple is situated on the right bank of the holy Alaknanda River.

Rishikesh

To be found in the heart of town, is the most famous bathing ghat, where most pilgrims take a holy dip earlier than they visit the various temples. Ghangariya

Ghangaria is a scenic hamlet perched at an altitude of 3,050mts above sea level in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. It is the last human habitation centre on the way to Hemkund Sahib and the Valley of Flowers. Ghangaria is the confluence of Pushpawati and Hemganga River, which is then called Lakshman Ganga. Govind Ghat is situated on NH58 on the banks of Alaknanda River and acts as the commencement point of the trek to Ghangharia. Ghangharia can be reached after an easy trek of 13kms from Govind Ghat. It is likely that you will fall in love with the beautiful mountains and cascading waterfalls enroute. The region is prone to heavy snowfall during winters, therefore the region remains closed from December – April. A Gurudwara, GMVN rest houses and a few more private hotels provide accommodation facility at Ghangaria.

The wetland at Asan Barrage, is situated near the confluence of two perennial rivers Asan and Yamuna. The lake attracts a large number of waterfowl, both waders and divers.

The birds listed as globally threatened species and in the IUCN Red Data Book have been observed at Asan. Though it may not be large in size, the sheer abundance of Avifauna makes it an ideal place for bird lovers, Ornithologists and Naturalists alike, who can travel easily up to the site, and see thousands of birds who have travelled miles to be there. To watch a mallard or a red crested pochard, gently swimming a few hundred yards in wilderness is indeed an unforgettable sight.

Askot Sanctuary

Pithoragarh, the picturesque hill district of Uttaranchal Pradesh, houses amidst its greens, the Askot Sanctuary, which adds more dazzle to its already splendid beauty. Lying in the lap of Kumaon Himalayas at a height of 5412 ft, snow-capped mountain peaks and fine temples are an integral part of Pithoragarh.

The highlights of the sanctuary are snow leopards, Himalayan black bears, musk deers, snow cocks, tahra, bharals, monals, chirs, koklas, pheasants and chukors.
